22th application of the Sudarium: eyelids oppression and collocation of profaned phylactery14/04/2009home|previous|next

This application had a double finality (object): to continue both eyelids oppression and the collocation of phylactery profaned on the nasal bridge.

According to the studious people, the phylacteries were profaned to a blaspheme and wouldn’t carry them, since had broken the Law of God. The collocation of this phylactery seems as though, him, who realized the cleaning of the Body, didn’t agree with the opinion of the Summon Priest, that Jesus had blasphemed and, in frank rebellion with the Sanhedrin and repudiating its judgment, even though profaned had put it on its place on a funereal ceremony.
