2nd Sudarium application: Stopping the flowing of the spear wound13/04/2009home|previous|next
Served to stop the blood and water spilling from the spear wound on the flank: the stain is of the same size, proportion and inclination of the Shroud’s, that appearing brief and discontinuous indicates that it was cleaned (rollover and click).

For this application the Sudarium was put in a vertical position.

On the Sudarium, beneath the great stain of the spear wound, several rectangles can be appreciated, produced when pressing repeatedly with a bandage rolled on the Sudarium against the trunk and flank of Jesus, to gather with it the draining blood and water.

This action also stamped on the Sudarium several wounds of the womb caused by the flagellation, which are signaled on the scheme in red.
