Wounds comparative in behalf of the nails18/04/2009home|previous|next

From the left hand, the Sudarium registered the trace of the wound without the blood of the outline because it had dried up; the damp Shroud did register it, thus wet (damp) hydrated the blood that had flown from the wound. The wound on that hand embraces 24 times more surface (area) than the wound of the right hand; the damage would had been greater if the elasticity of the skin had been considered. The size of the wound on the left foot is four times bigger than the wound on the right foot, which coincides in size with the one on the right hand; this indicates (tell us) that, the same as the right arm, the right foot was disabled (useless); Jesus used it only to support the left foot. The five registers of the right foot wound on the Sudarium help us to have an idea the difficulty implied to place Him as the Body laid.
